Nudge: Reminders & Follow-ups for Jira · Last updated: 30 September 2026
This policy explains what data the Nudge app ("the app"), published by Nudge4 ("we"), handles when installed on an Atlassian Jira Cloud site.
Where the app runs
The app is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure. It has no external servers, and it doesn't send data to us or to any third party. All app data is stored in Atlassian-hosted Forge storage and follows your site's Atlassian data residency.
Data the app stores
For each reminder:
- the work item ID and key, and the project ID
- the Atlassian account ID of the person who created it, and the account IDs of chosen recipients
- whether the assignee and/or watchers should be reminded
- the reminder time, time zone, repeat setting and optional message
- delivery status (scheduled, sent, cancelled or failed) and timestamps
The app also stores a list of projects where a Jira admin has turned reminders off.
The app does not store names, email addresses or work item content. Display names and summaries are fetched from Jira only when an email is sent.
How data is used
Only to deliver reminders. Emails are sent by Jira's own notification system, which applies Jira's permission checks.
Retention and deletion
- Finished reminders (sent, cancelled or failed) are deleted automatically 90 days after they finish.
- The person who created a reminder can delete it at any time.
- The app reports stored account IDs to Atlassian's personal data reporting API every week, and erases data linked to closed Atlassian accounts.
- When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its stored data according to Forge's data retention policy.
Access
We have no access to your app data. It lives in Atlassian-hosted storage that belongs to your site's installation.
